August Thilberg

August Thilberg is a Mental Health Counselor specializing in forensics. She completed her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Psychology from
The State University at Albany, and her M.A. in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. A combination
of her experience at the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and research performed at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center helped develop her passion for Restorative Justice and more importantly, the healing profession.

Many of Augusts’ specialties, but not all, include treating individuals dealing with Anxiety and Depression, Significant Life Changes, Behavior and Discipline Challenges, Anger and Stress Management, Family and Relationship Issues, Self-Image and Self-Esteem Issues, and Criminal Thinking and Behaviors. She provides services to Adolescents, Adults, Families, Couples and Groups.

Aside from her therapeutic focus, August assists in performing Court Ordered Forensic Evaluations, Parent Coordination and Therapeutic Visitation. Through Dr. Goldman’s Restorative Solutions programs, she also aids in conducting mandated treatment to individuals in a group setting.
